Employee Spotlight: Zach Adams

At i3 Commerce Technology, we pride ourselves on having the best employees in the industry, and this quarter, we want to feature our Financial Analyst, Zach Adams.

In Zach’s role, he is responsible for running monthly residuals, statement analyses, and auditing merchants and profitability.

Zach started working at i3 Commerce Technology in 2012 as an intern and became full-time employee after graduating from Miami University with a degree in accounting. In his free time, Zach loves to travel, volunteer with the Special Olympics, and watch soccer – especially FC Cincinnati.

We also had a Q&A session with Zach. Here’s what he had to say.

Q. What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? 

A. “I find it rewarding to solve problems that help both our customers and the i3 Commerce Technology team. Additionally, i3 Commerce Technology has always been a big proponent of a healthy work-life balance and it allows me to enjoy many of my passions, like traveling and cheering on my favorite sports teams.”

Q. What do you like most about working at i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “The people for sure. I have coworkers that have become close friends and working with others that you enjoy is pretty nice. I love the way this company expects great work but also celebrates a job well done with some many fun events like the annual pool party, chili cook-off, putt-putt tournament, Halloween breakfast, and many more.”

Q. How have you grown during your time at i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “I started working at i3 Commerce Technology as an intern my senior year of high school doing basic data entry and other odd jobs. My tenure continued through college as a part-time employee and ultimate I was hired in the finance department after college graduation. During my time here, I have learned about most aspects of our industry and it has made me a well-rounded team member.”

Q. If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be?

A. “In 6th grade, I did a report on the country of Fiji. I learned about the beauty, the culture, and everything the country has to offer and I fell in love with this destination. Ever since then, I have dreamt of going to see Fiji for myself and spend several weeks there exploring the islands, taking in the culture, and enjoying all that Fiji has to give.”

Q. What is your hidden talent?

A. “I can name all 63 National Parks in the United States and I plan to visit all of them during my lifetime. My favorite so far is Glacier National Park in northern Montana.”
