Employee Spotlight: Kayla Luhrsen

At i3 Commerce Technology, we pride ourselves on having the best employees in the industry, and this quarter, we want to feature our Relationship Manager Team Lead, Kayla Luhrsen.

In Kayla’s role, she is responsible for answering the customer service line, boarding new merchant accounts, servicing house accounts and data entry for all 7,900+ accounts for the i3 Commerce Technology sales team.

Kayla started working at i3 Commerce Technology in 2015 as an onboarding and service specialist and has since been promoted to relationship manager team lead. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she completed her bachelor’s degree in applied science. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and three dogs.

We also had a Q&A session with Kayla. Here’s what she had to say.

Q. What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? 

A. “I enjoy doing my best to help make i3 Commerce Technology a great company both for our employees and our customers. I am also motivated to provide and build a life for my growing family!”

Q. What is your favorite part about working at i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “The people I work with and our team events! I am also very thankful for our managers who make me feel truly valued as an employee.”

Q. How have you grown during your time at i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “I have grown more confident in my abilities to problem solve and serve as a resource for the company.”

Q. What is your favorite inspirational quote?

A. “That’s a tough one…

‘Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.’

Or, equally as important:

‘There’s always room for one more dog.’”

Q. If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be?

A. “Aruba since we were supposed to go there on our honeymoon last fall but had to cancel due to COVID!”
